SEAMEO – SEA TEACHER BATCH 6
August 02, 2018
The second day we were in Surigao. In the morning we had breakfast in the canteen. After breakfast at the canteen, we have a schedule to meet with the Sister Marie Rosanne Mallillin as the President of St. Paul University Surigao and also meet the exchange students from SPUS.

After that we were invited to tour the school. We were invited to go to the library at school, from elementary school to high school. In my opinion, their library is very comfortable. Not because there is an air conditioner in it, but because the library they have is very unique and good decoration so it makes it comfortable to read books.

We not only look at the library, we were also invited to look around the classrooms in the school. We also look at laboratories that they normally use to carry out practical work for science, and there is also a computer lab at school and ICT.

After a tour around the school, we went to the canteen for lunch. After lunch, we have a schedule to follow directions such as orientation from staff from St. Paul University. Regarding the rules that are in school, because we live in a school environment so we have to follow the rules given such as the time limit for going out at night, if we go far from the school environment we must be with our buddy because they will accompany us. They also give directions in the event of a natural disaster such as an earthquake or a fire, what we have to do when it happens. And in the orientation also discussed the schedule of our activities while there.

In the evening, we attended a Welcome Dinner held in the canteen. The welcoming dinner was attended by Sister Rosanne who was president of St. Paul University Surigao, then there is also Sister Nicole who is the dean, education, culture and arts college. And there are also other Sisters, as well as teachers and staff from St. Paul University Surigao. At Welcome Dinner, we introduce ourselves. Then after that we all eat together. That night we all mingled into one. And they always make us feel like in our own home, they are also very open, warm and respectful of us.

For August 3rd, after breakfast our activities are to go to the main campus in Surigao city. We have to make our ID Card, because we live in the school environment and become part of the school for one month, then we must have our own ID Card, this is my ID Card ...

After our ID Card is ready, we are invited to tour the main campus. We went to see the lecture rooms that were there, the library on the main campus, and we were also invited to the canteen and we were treated to a cake by Sister Nicole (thank you Sister Nicole :)).

They allow us to have our ID Card even though we are not in Surigao. So, this ID Card belongs to me and I bring it to Indonesia.

And from the main campus we returned to school, but before returning to school (because we lived in a school environment) we stopped at a mall close to the school to buy the items we needed. And after that we went to the cafeteria for lunch, and returned to the dormitory.
Ahh, and here we are the eleven who have officially become part of St. Paul University Surigao for one month.
